Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Review incoming work orders and assign schedule priority to repair, maintenance and installation of equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
•Coordinate activities of employees modifying machines, tools or equipment to manufacture new or improve existing products.
•Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply to heat, steam, electric power, gas or air required for operations.
•Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating cost and effect greater utilization of labor for operations.
•Requisition tools, equipment and supplies required for operations.
•Create, implement and maintain world class preventative maintenance program.
•Routinely inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
•Propose internal improvements in products as well as in processes when necessary
•Monitor tool and part inventories, conditions and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
•Compile operational records, such as production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics and testing results.
•Develop, implement and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
•Examine objects, systems or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, service and repairs.
•Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair and maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use.
•Ensure adherence to processes and procedures to produce safe, legal and quality products.
•Prepare, control and maintain departmental budget and spending.
