I am looking for someone to jam with and eventually form band with. I play bass and rhythm guitar, some lead guitar and learning how to play mandolin. I am an an okay musician, not great, not bad. I have varied musical tastes and am open to most concepts. What I would like to do is form a blues-rock, metal band, or acoustic group and eventally play around locally a few times a month. I have my own equipment. I am tired of talking to people who say they want to play music and never follow through. If interested send me an email.

I am a guitarist looking to start a local band to play open mic nights and small gigs around the area.
I am looking for people into stuff like Tool, Nine Inch Nails, 10 Years, Filter, etc., but also listen to stuff like Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Beatles, etc.

Nothing really figured out yet, just lookin to get some people together, jam, maybe do some covers, and eventually start writing some stuff.

I am looking to record bands in the NRV area. This will be on a band by band basis meaning that I will not record just anyone. I must either like the music or see a future with the band. If you feel your band has what I'm looking for, please email me with info on the style you play, how many years you've been playing together, what your goals are for the band and recording experience. If you have a demo or clip of your music that would be even better.

I will charge $500 to record 8 songs. We will not rush through the recording process and I will do my best to get the best sound we can. Typically this will take 4-5 days to record with a week of editing and mixing. (2 weeks total)

And just to clarify, I am not looking to do cheap demos. I am looking to make the best possible sound for your band and I only will deal with dedicated musicians. If you still think your band would fit this mold, please email me with your information.

I am a musician who is moving to Blacksburg in August. I'm 22 and I've been playing guitar for about 9 years and drums for about 5. I can play lead or rhythm guitar, and I'm a hard hitting straight-up rock drummer. I played lead guitar in my own band (The Engimatic) for 2 years, then for another 2 years in another band (Good Looking Liar - myspace.com/goodlookingliar). My most popular band was The Quantum Repairmen (myspace.com/quantumrepairmen), in which I played drums. We released 2 EPs and 1 full length before breaking up due to geographic splits.

As far musical influences go, I'm really into rock/alt bands like Radiohead, Mogwai, Nirvana, Weezer, Ozma, White Stripes, Black Keys, Pixies, and the Strokes. I'm also into some metal, such as Slayer, Dragonforce, and some of the classics such as Sabbath and KISS. Punk is also a love of mine, with favorites being Daycare Swindlers, Operation Ivy, Leftover Crack, Choking Victim, Sex Pistols, and Mika Miko. I am a blues fan too, and have been known to get down to some Robert Johnson and BB King from time to time.

I am DYING without playing, so I'd really like to be in a band anywhere around Blacksburg/Christiansburg, VA. I drink but don't do drugs, so if you're just looking for someone to jam and smoke pot with, then please look elsewhere. I'd like to find a focused band who plays around with regular frequency and likes putting on a spirited rock show.

I'm willing to play guitar or drums...I love playing both equally!

Guitar player with 20 years of playing experience (I'm 34) and 3 years of gigging expereince looking to jam with similarly experienced musicians. I live in Pearisburg, but work in Blacksburg. Interested in any blues, classic and hard rock, "jam band", and indie/alternative. Influences and favorites include Led Zeppelin, Alice in Chains, Clutch, Buddy Guy, Gary Moore, Rush, and Frank Zappa. I'm not well versed on the newer bands, but as long as the music has heart and soul to it, I'd be interested. I'm not too keen on "music for the masses", thin sounding, boring pop junk.

Looking to find drummer and bass player first and foremost. I live in Pearisburg, but work in Blacksburg. Ideal situation would be to jam at drummer's residence, as they take the longest to setup/teardown.

I enjoy playing Alt country, Americana, Classic Country, Blues, Classic Rock, Singer Songwriter, Bluegrass( a little). I Have a Small 4 Channel PA and other various equiptment. Looking for someone to jam with and work up some covers and originals. No egos please. I don't care about skill level just as long as you can play all your major minor chords and barre chords.
