I've made the decision to move to a house closer to campus, and unfortunately my beautiful orange and white longhair cat cannot come! CRACKER is an indoor/outdoor cat, and I rescued him a year and a half ago from a close by barn before the first of the horrible snow/sleet storms hit. He's been the perfect cat, he's just about to turn 2 years old, neutered, and up-to-date on all of his vaccines. Though he is very outgoing, he prefers to be outside, but will come in to eat and occasionally sleep. He will come with wet and dry food, his food bowls, and water bowl, as well as his cat bed and treats. He's never been big on toys, so I'm not including any, but he has a certain fondness for string! Kingston is up to date on all of his shots, neutered, and VERY friendly. He is a year and a half and will turn 2 in May. He is still extremely playful and loves running, chasing balls, and cuddling in bed with you. He is very friendly with people, including children, and loves attention. He is good with most dogs, (he lived with my other pitbull mix for his whole life) but sometimes doesn't like other large male dogs. He would do very well with living with college students.

I am looking for a petsitter for my two 1-year old rescue dogs so that I can travel to see my family and won't have to spend Christmas alone. They are both about 35 lbs. I have been having trouble getting in contact with my regular petsitters, unfortunately. I am very protective of my babies and would like the potential petsitter to have experience with puppies/young adult dogs.

They are sweet and non-agressive dogs that are very loving. Housebroken and crate trained. I will provide their special food (they have allergies) and a crate. They are used to living with cats, but like to chase/try to play with them. I would love to take them to someone that had a house with a yard, but if neccessary, someone could come to my house 4-5 times per day to walk them. I am willing to pay approximately $25/day because I'm an MBA student that works two jobs already (Go Hokies!).

It will probably be in two sessions, from December 24th-27th and December 29th-January 2nd, so it would end up being around $200 or more.

They need a permanent, loving home. They are a BONDED PAIR, and will only be adopted out as such. Houdini is an ESCAPE ARTIST, and Sherlock is NOT good around cats or dogs. We would prefer that they go to someone experienced with ferrets. They would not be good around very young children due to nippiness when they are excited, but a home with older(age10+) would be fine. They are very inquisitive, and love to explore their foster home. They are (mostly) litter box trained. You will need a sturdy, ferret-proof cage to keep them in while they are not being supervised. Houdini has weaseled her way out of nearly every cage I have.

She has a large hernia on her side, and her previous owner was going to shoot her rather than have it repaired. She is scheduled for surgery in January to repair it, and will be spayed at the same time. Her adoption fee will cover the vetting if you wait until then to adopt her, or we can adopt her out for a lower fee if you would be willing to pay for the surgery yourself. The hernia IS life threatening if it is not repaired, and getting pregnant WILL kill her.

She is a very friendly girl, and gets along with kids, cats, and other dogs. She is housebroken and crate trained. Sugar does jump up on people, but she is learning quickly that it is not acceptable. She doesn't seem to be the dominant sort, but will stand up for herself if another dog starts pushing her around.

She was abandoned by her owner, along with several other dogs.

She is crate trained and was housebroken. (This might need some refining since she was left inside an abandoned building.)

She looks to be in good health, but does have some food aggression issues. She does seem to be a bit nearsighted, but it may be because of the fur in her face.

The neglect seems to have been going on for a long time and her fur is in really sad shape. I trimmed the mats off of her but I didn't want to stress her to much the first few days. She held still and was wonderful during the entire time. I think she would make a wonderful pet for any family. She needs to be kept indoors since she is basically bald now.

Keesha's adoption fee is $50. While she is an older dog, she is a small breed. I would expect her to live for at least ten more years.

The new owner will be responsible for having her spayed. We normally just rescue rabbits, so we don't have the funding for large surgeries. She is being fostered in my home, in Wythe county.

The first picture shows her when she first came to us. The second shows her minus the mats. We figured out very quickly it would be easier for her to grow new fur than to untangle what she had. She seems much happier now.

Her owner was threatening to kill her for snapping at a small child that got to rough with her. This little dog is a sweet heart and I think it would take a lot to get her to snap at you. She is very timid and prefers to hide in a blanket when frightened.

The food that she had been fed was to large for her to chew. She is able to eat just fine if her food is softened. She is crate trained and paper trained. She is not a barker and is totally quiet at night. She would be great with an older couple or person that has time to spend with her. She like to be held and carry around but is just as happy being wrapped in a blanket and in her crate. She would do better in a peaceful home that doesn't have a lot going on. She doesn't need a lot of room because she seldom leave her blanket. She would be great in an apartment since she is so quiet.

She is currently in foster care in Wythe county, Virginia. There WILL be an adoption fee. She is not spayed, and the new owner will be responsible for doing so. She is much too small to be bred safely, and is not registered.

I am asking around $30 per mosaic - you will need to get it printed at a photocenter of your choice - which ranges from 5-20+ depending on the size you want, but you can get as many copies as you want after I make the mosaic. I will email a copy of it to you with a watermark for approval before you pay. If you aren't satisfied, then you don't pay until you are. Once you are, then I will send the original to the photocenter when you pick the size you'd like it reproduced on.

Here is a similar listing on ebay that sells them for a lot more, but shows the basic process. They don't seem to do pets and only have examples of more simple subjects - the pets are typically more complex as they involve merging colors depending on the type of pet. I can also do ones of families, people, objects, etc. if you supply the pictures.
