Nomad 5th Wheel Camper Lowered Price (Barren Springs VA) $1850

I want to move this camper. I was asking $2500.00 for it. I lowered the price to $1850.00 I have a 78 or 79 Nomad 5th wheel camping trailer with clear title and presently tagged. It will sleep approx 4-6 people with a full sized bed on the upper level. It is in well taken care of condition.

Several upgrades have been done in the approx the last 5 years, new roof AC unit,new tub/shower combination assembly, new gas cook stove with oven and new exhaust hood, new floor coverings. New porceline commode with new dump valves on the gray and blackwater tanks. New water pump last year with new water heater bypass valves. The camper is completely winterized at the present.

It has an onboard automatic battery charger (no battery included in sale)There is a color TV and older microwave that goes with this camper. The refridgerator works on gas, 12V, or 120 volts and works well. The furnace works well, the water heater (6 gallon) works well also.

The tires are in very good condition with no dry rot cracks. There is a spare tire. There is a double sink in kitchen area with ample cabinets. The roof crank up vents were replaced a couple of years ago and Maxi-Air vent covers added. There is a 12vpowered roof vent in the bathroom.

There is a nice 5th wheel hitch included in this sale that is universal and will fit any truck bed and made by Hidden Hitch. The 5th wheel hitch tri-pod support in the picture does not go with camper at this price. Will sell separate if you want it.

The camper has been set up to be towed by a 4 wheel drive truck that sets higher off the ground than a standard pickup. It can be easily lowered to standard height by removing the 2 inch spacer blocks from the axle supports. It should be ok for most late model trucks though.

Since it's so old most all moving parts have been replaced except for the engine. 57,000 miles or so. Am considering a barter for a nice motorcycle and nice protective motorcycle gear so I can travel around to area nursing homes / mentally handicapped homes and do volunteer work. I used to feel my car sipped gas and yet it doesn't quite do that good of a job at it any more. That's why I want the motorcycle....even though it may kill me one day.

'76 Dodge Motorhome 21' (Blacksburg) $2000

new lower price. Needs work. Will run but needs old gas taken out of it so it will run better. Has been sitting 1 year. Someone told me I should put 20 gallons of high test fuel and "sea foam" to make it run better. I guess that may work but I don't know.
The transmission works as much is as needed but I would not want to rely on that transmission for hilly parking situations.

I think it's 21' but it may be 22'.

Shower needs some basic plumbing work but isn't far from working. The water is not heated. For that you have to go to Wal-mart (they have a $100 hot shower you can put in) or rig something up yourself but I would try the Wal-mart one first.

Has gas heating but not sure if it works or not. Last owner said it did. Has oven and stove top.
Has newly remodeled sink/kitchen area and floor.

New spark plug wires and distributor. None of the locks work (except for the key for the ignition) and the main door has a problem with the knob.

Excellent light coming in big windows to the well designed living area. There are two chairs that swivel and a breakfast table in between. If I were keeping it I'd take out the passenger seat and put my keyboard in there and play it from one of those two chairs. I'd keep the couch where it is and sleep on it as it turns into a bed. I'd use the above-the-driver's-seat-area for storage.

Huge gas tanks and huge water tank (great for filling with spring water).

Full bed above the driver's seat with original pillows. Has original window shades. Has a little sink in the bathroom as well as shower and toilet. Floor has been worked on. Actually almost every moving part on this RV has been replaced or refurbished so it's pretty nice. Another thing I like about it is it's not as hard to drive as a lot of RVs. The driver can see through the very back window for one. It just feels very controlled....like a long van instead of an RV.

I aspire to something a little smaller for easier heating and something that is easier to get through a forest with. Honestly I'm not sure I really need a smaller RV but I don't want my first year in an RV to be a cold shock. 357-0280
