We are a computer repair company that does much repair work throughout the New River Valley. Over the last 20 plus years we have collected many parts: computer, audio, video, telephone, and other. We are seeking to make more space in our storage and work areas. Our business is not selling parts; so this is not included in our advertising in phone books or on our website. We are just looking to gain some shelf space.

We have many used and new parts that people could be using and we could stop storing. Some are specific to a particular system. Most are fairly generic.

A few times each week we get phone calls from people who can do-it-themselves and just can't find something to make that old or new piece of equipment work right. They know that computer repair companies are likely to have piles of parts. We know how frustrating it can be to need an item and have to pay full price for a new one in fancy packaging when a used item will do. And everyone likes to avoid the cost of shipping!

Even if we only get cents back on the dollars we have spent to have these items on hand, at least we will regain space if we sell them to you! Obviously, many items we have will cost much more than $1.00. Craigs List does not provide for putting in a range of pricing like: "$0.50 to ?" Some would be real bargains gotten through us. Others might just be convenient or slightly less than elsewhere.

Items available are as broad ranged as:
cables and wiring for most types of electronics(computer, phone, stereo, etc.)
tiny screws, power cables (for a variety of things),
monitors,
computer towers (with and without some parts inside),
drives, connectors,
memory,
jacks (computer, phone, stereo, etc.),
software,
software books,
printers,
scanners,
toner/ink,
used telephones (including a working older model multi-line touch-tone office desk network),
power supplies,
fans,
CD burners,
etc., etc.

We would be happy to be hired to install the items we have. We have collected most because it is convenient to have them on hand when we need them to service a customer's equipment. Now we have much too much stuff! We are currently trying to find buyers for the surplus so our storage area will be more useable for us.

If you are seeking items that only fit older equipment you may be very lucky. We try hard to keep equipment functioning here so we can test and repair older systems. At the least, we need our older test computers to function so we can save data off customers' older systems before helping them get their new systems up and running. We keep copies of older software so we can help people with vintage software that did not upgrade and need the interim upgrades to be able to get their data to work with the latest versions. We help people with data in old formats and on vintage floppies convert it to something they can use with their current hard and software.

We do not have a storefront or display space, but we can check inventory once we know what someone is seeking. We work mainly at customers' offices and homes. We hope to be able to respond quickly, at least within a couple of days. Some items are not on our inventory spreadsheet; so someone would have to dig through bins and shelves or open up old towers.

Often people call us and try to describe to our receptionist what they need. Then a tech has to call them back to get details. It is far better if you e-mail us about what you are seeking trying to provide the needed details. Besides, e-mail is better since most of us geeks work on our own equipment in the middle of the night, we know it is usually far easier to zip off an e-mail to inquire about availability. Who knows, you might even get an immediate answer at 2AM!

The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet runs Internet Tablet OS, a modified version of Debian GNU/Linux. It is designed for wireless Internet browsing and e-mail functions and includes software such as Internet radio, an RSS news reader, image viewer and media players for selected types of media.

The Tablet had a touch screen, and comes with a spare stylus. You can write on the screen either with an on-screen keyboard or with handwriting recognition. Both are easy to use, depending on your preference.

Access the internet, your email, and even internet radio! The audio supports MP3, WAV, AAC, AMR, and MP2 formats. You can watch videos on the tablet as well.

Software includes a pdf reader, a calculator, notes, sketch, and three games. Other software is available on the internet.

There is a 512 MB RS-MMC card included, as well as an outlet charger, a USB cord, a plastic stand for watching videos on, and a cloth cover, in the original box.

This was bought by a friend, who decided after a month that he didn't need a PDA. I bought it off him, and came to the same decision, since I have a cell phone with internet access and GPS built into it. It's been used very little, and is almost new. It's a great PDA, but I got it after I finished my Master's degree.

I had used my previous PDA for note-taking, and it was very useful for school. This one has better handwriting recognition than my old one, as well as much better internet access.

For sale is a barely used 8GB Sandisk Cruzer Memory Stick, this thing can hold up to 19,200 photos, 1920 songs, and/or 2560 video minutes! It has only been used for a couple of weeks, and the only application it was used for was the uploading of a file less than 1MB...the U3 preferences have NOT been set, so you can choose whichever set-up you most prefer! One of the best features of this drive is it's thumbnail retractable USB port, it allows easy access and protection for the drive without an end cap that could easily be lost (also, the keyring design is a major plus for someone who would prefer to keep the micro drive on their key chain). The casing has a couple of minor scratches on it, but it's structural integrity is still in mint condition. Shown below is a stock photo of the memory stick (in order to clearly exaggerate it's features).
