This institutional quality solid oak captains bed has 6 large drawers. I believe it was pulled during a renovation of a dormitory at UVA. It is designed to fit a mattress 36" x 80." However, we have raised the top slightly to accommodate a standard twin XL foam mattress, 39" x 80." We purchased the mattress new and have only used it infrequently for guests. Both the bed and mattress are in very good condition.

Overall dimensions: 82.25" W x 39.5" D x 22" H (without mattress)

Mattress dimensions: 80" L x 39" W x 8" H

Overall dimensions: 82.25" W x 39.5" D x 30" H (with mattress)

Drawer dimensions: 24" W x 24" D x 6.5" H

The storage capacity of this bed exceeds many dressers, which can free up floor space for other uses.
