Time to thin the herd. I built this stratocaster guitar from scratch earlier this year and it just hangs on the wall in my studio as I am primarily an acoustic player. When I do play electric, my tele & jazzmaster style guitars are what I grab for the style of music I play. I have a lot to cover here....The details of this build are:
I built this with a Suhr Modern Pro as my inspiration -
Body: Handmade by me - Chambered korina also known as black limba w/ a Zebrawood top, Belly Cut
Neck: Warmoth - CBS Stratocaster®, Modern Construction, Right Handed, Quarter Sawn Goncalo Alves w/ Pau Ferro Fretboard, Nut Width: 1-11/16", 59 roundback profile, SS6150 (Stainless) Frets, Schaller (25/64") Tuner Ream, Radius: 10-16" Compound, 25-1/2" Scale, 22 Frets, Standard 4 Bolt, GraphTech Black TUSQ XL - Standard Nut, Inlays: Cream Face Dots, White Side Dots
Pickups: HSH configuration - Suhr SSV Neck, ML Middle & SSH+ Bridge
Bridge: Hipshot Contour Tremolo
Tuners: Hipshot Open Gear Staggered In-line
Controls: 1V/1T, 500K CTS DPDT Push-Pull Pots, 5-Way Switch. This configuration gives standard HSH strat positions w/ the pots pushed in. The tone knob splits the humbuckers so you have all single coils. The volume knob pulled adds 2 additional configurations - position 5 gives you neck & bridge, position 4 gives you all 3 pickups.
There are a few scratches/indentions here and there, but they won't even show up in the photos due to the grain of the wood. Mainly some belt rash on the backside...you can see for yourself when you come check it out.
I think that about covers it. Give me a call, text or email and we can setup a time for you to come by and take it for a spin. I have a Fender Princeton Reverb and/or a Line 6 Helix Floor that you can plug into for endless tonal bliss.
