Do you have or are thinking about getting a sugar glider? Well im here and happy to help with no charge. I can help you find a vet, bonding, rejected joeys, care info (caging, special wheel, diet, etc), how to trim nails, etc. I have 8 myself 5 that are my personal pets and 3 rescues that are looking for a furever home. (I run a small exotic animal rescue) A LOT of people tend to get a sugar glider out of impulse and then the people dont know how to care for them properly and I've ran into multiple cases where sugar gliders arent cared for properly and or are alone without a buddy. If you didnt know already sugar gliders are colony animals and when alone they can become very depressed, will overgroom, mourn, etc. First let me introduce myself. My name is Amber and I am 16. I know, I know, how could a 16 year old help with anything regarding to a exotic animal. Well I must inform you that I am the youngest in the sugar glider community on facebook groups and know more than a lot of adults on there. I've had gliders since March 2017 and I even know a lot about lineage and genetics. I have bottle fed 3 sugar glider joeys and they have to be fed every hour. I'm VERY dedicated to these little animals. In my free time I have made a document on the colors and which colors are recessive and dominant etc and how to breed for certain colors and ive made a document in my free time that includes all of the sugar glider staple diets and right now im working on a care sheet and a vet document for all states where they are legal. Please email me if you are interested in learning, being mentored, or just looking for help. I look forward to helping you soon.
