This Boom Mat is installed on the hard top to deaden sound inside the Jeep. I planned on installing it, but decided against it after I bought it. My mistake is your gain, and this is now for sale, brand new never taken out of the box, at a hefty discount. I believe this will fit all years of the TJ, except the TJ unlimited (aka the LJ). I think it also fits the YJ.
