Powers on and boots to a system administrator login on the console. I do not have the password and from my research, the only way to reset it is to reinstall the OS on the unit via the USB port. I do not have access to the OS download from Cisco (needs an active service contract) and do not have any QSFP28/QSFP+ gear to connect to this, so it is fully untested beyond powering up to the login on the console. No returns/refunds for any issues with it - I am selling cheaply to account for you having to reset the unit and for any potential issues.
It has 48x QSFP28/QSFP+ ports for 100GbE/40GbE/10GbE. Also has 2x RJ-45 ports for the management network, a console RJ-45, and an "Aux" RJ-45.
Includes the NCS-5502 unit and all 4 rack ears (both front ears and both rear) for mounting in a rack. Includes 4 power cables (one per PSU).
This unit is incredibly loud - you would probably not want to operate this at home unless you have somewhere isolated or soundproof to operate it in. I am not sure if it is possible to quiet the fans in the unit in any way.
Unit is in fair shape but definitely shows some wear - scratches and scuffs, dirt and dust, dents and dings, etc.
Price is $750. Must meet at the Liberty gas station near Corning in Christiansburg (3250 N. Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). Cash only.
