This was originally an Avaya appliance and is considered an "OEMR XL R640". As far as I can tell, the only difference is the iDRAC interface is a gray color rather than the typical blue. You are able to install any supported OS that you please on the unit (after you put storage in, of course!). The server does have some Avaya branding on the left ear.
The server supports up to 8x 2.5" drives, either SATA or SAS.
The server does show some wear from normal use - scratches and scuffs, dirt and dust, small dents and dings, etc. Nothing too bad in my opinion and nothing that affects performance or operation.
