Powers on and shows that it has a 486DX4 @ 100MHz along with 39MB RAM.
The computer does show an error that the system battery is dead. I was not able to find a battery, but this model seems to have a Dallas clock chip which I believe has the battery integrated in to it. You may need to remove and replace this chip if you wish for the clock to function. BIOS shows a clearly invalid date/time (see pictures).
It does have a floppy drive and CD-ROM drive installed. The floppy drive does seem to work but is a bit finicky (doesn't always fully take in a disk, and sometimes has trouble ejecting). I was able to get the machine to boot to a Windows 98 floppy boot disk. The CD-ROM drive does not open. The IDE controller card requires an older IDE cable that has all pins open - I do not have one of those cables, so the CD-ROM drive is untested.
Has a SCSI card with room for 2 hard drives mounted above the PSU.
Untested beyond this quick testing but this seems like a solid retro machine to start building a nice machine to run older games/software! As this is fairly old hardware, it is sold strictly as-is - no returns/refunds if something does not work. This is intended as a project PC for someone and will need some work (at a minimum, it will need a hard drive and OS).
Computer has definitely seen better days cosmetically - has lots of scratches, scuffs, discoloration, sticker/tape residue, etc. I'd say it's still in decent shape for its age, though.
Includes computer and power cable only.
Price is $100. Must meet at the Liberty gas station near Corning in Christiansburg (3250 N. Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). Cash only.
