I bought Koblt tools from Lowes and they broke. I tried to return them under the "No Hassle Guarantee", and it was a HUGE hassle. The store does not take returns for the broken tools. They give you a phone nummber and then you have to hassle it out with someone from Kobalt. Then, if they approve after you have sent them pics and other info, they will send you a code that you then take to Lowes for a replacement or certificate.
The same process for Craftsman and other items. They have a long list of phone numbers for companies that they do this with.
I took a broken tool back to Harbor Freight and they just gave me another tool. NO HASSLE at all. Not even any questions, like when did you buy it, where did you buy it, etc.
I will buy my tools from Harbor Freight from now on.
